Ontario headed toward another minority government: Poll

Bozinoff said the data suggests if an election were held now the Liberals would win 51 seats to the Tories 43 and 13 for the NDP. Currently, the Liberals have 49 seats, including Speaker Dave Levac, the Tories 36, more info and the NDP 20 with two vacancies in the 107-member legislature . I know it looks like a strange result to have the Tories seven points ahead but get fewer seats (than the Liberals), but read there are so many seats that the Liberals (would) win by one or two percentage points, said Bozinoff. The Liberal vote is amazingly efficient. Whatever they need thats what they have to win these ridings and keep their minority. Theres no waste to it. The Tories just pile it on in rural areas, he said.

Feinstein for engaging on this vital issue that has united all of Southern California," said Ontario City Councilman Alan Wapner. "We look forward to productive negotiations with Mayor Garcetti." Feinstein noted that many airports across the nation and California have made significant progress in their recoveries from the economic downturn, even those with challenges similar to Ontario's. Those airports, she stated, have worked with local business leaders, transit agencies and governments to improve transportation access, reach out to new carriers, waive fees for airlines and offer other incentives to attracts service. The senator has discussed the airport's continuing decline with Inland Empire mayors, county supervisors and community leaders. Los Angeles officials say they have worked to reduce airline costs by cutting expenses and staff at Ontario.

Feinstein urges cooperation to restore passenger levels at Ontario airport

Theyll be in southern Ontario for at least two weeks. Were quite experienced in ice storms. Weve done this many times, usually once or twice a year, saidWarren Helgason, a construction co-ordinator, told Global News. Basically, I would imagine we would be clearing the lines and clearing everything from trees, getting conductors back up and rebuilding. There was no problem getting Manitoba Hydro workers to volunteer, even though they will be missing Christmas with their families. We have good people, lots of really good people, and its just a matter of asking for volunteers, he said. Most of these guys are young guys with young kids, so that is quite a sacrifice for them, and we appreciate it very much. Ontario ice storm claims two victims A 52-year-old man and his 72-year-old mother died northeast ofToronto of carbon monoxide poisoning, prompting police commander Dacid Vijakainen to warn residents to avoid using generators and barbeques to heat their homes.
